Description

The Rail Thimble is a hydraulically operated attachment designed to position the rail as the road rail crane is travelling. It can be used for threading113lb rail, UIC 60 or CEN 60 rail in to the rail housings or removing rail from the sleepers. As the road rail travels at walking pace (5mph) whilst thimbling, it would take 12 minutes to thimble 1 mile of rail and less than a minute to thimble 100 metres of rail.
