Description

The video / picture above shows two cable drum carriers mounted onto a 5 metre trailer. The cable drum carriers are non powered and feed the cable out as the R.R.V travels away. The 988 Road Rail can tow 40 tons of trailer and load giving a carrying capacity of 34 ton of cable. With the smaller communication cable two drums are placed on each A frame carrier to increase production. For large projects the TD12 Train (see Road Rail machines) is loaded with 12 cable drum carriers on 6 trailers to discharge O.L.E, power or communication cable.
